Actv Biotech

From Dark Circles
to Brightness

Origin

Developed from Houttuynia cordata (Chameleon) stem cells using ProliCell® Technology.

What is ProliCell® Technology?

ProliCell® Technology enables to benefit the effects of plant stem cells and small RNAs in their vesicles.

ProliCell ShineStem

ProliCell® ShineStem contains enriched stem cell components and stem cell specific exogenous small RNAs thanks to the elicitor application.
ACTV Biotechnology has developed ProliCell ShineStem as an anti-dark circle active ingredient by combining ProliCell Technology with Chameleon stem cells and their small RNA content-enriched extracellular vesicles.

ProliCell ShineStem Production Process and Mechanism of Effect

Houttuynia cordata cells are incubated with elicitors in their optimum growth phase to ensure the synthesis of EVs rich in targeted small RNAs. EVs containing enriched small RNAs are combined with plant stem cells to obtain ProliCell ShineStem. Small RNAs, also carried by undifferentiated plant cells, take part in communication with different cells, tissues and even organisms when packaged into EVs. With ProliCell ShineStem, the intercellular communication effect of EVs is used to regulate the activity of human skin cells.
ProliCell ShineStem Chameleon cell components and enriched target small RNAs found in EVs influence the expression of relevant genes in human skin cells, stimulating the expression of genes associated with anti-dark circle activity.

SHINESTEM HIGHLIGHTS

How Does ProliCell
ShineStem Effect?

In Vivo Efficacy Test

A study was conducted by applying Anti-dark Circle Cream containing 2% ProliCell ShineStem to the under-eye area of 22 volunteers, aged between 22 and 61 (average 33.3 ±10.2), twice a day for 56 days.
Measurements were recorded before starting treatment (DO), after 4 weeks of treatment (D28) and after 8 weeks of treatment (D56).

Shades of Red, Green and Yellow Colors, Chameleon Plant, Houttuynia cordota...

Houttuynia cordata Thunb. (Chameleon) has been reported to have effects against oxidative stress and inflammation in  many ancient texts in traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, Siddha and traditional Japanese medicine. Houttuynia cordata is also called Dokudami which means poison-blocking plant.
